About Me

Hi, my name is Dahao Tang. I am currently an MPhil student at the David James Lab, Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney.

I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2025 with a combined bachelor's degree in Advanced Computing (majoring in Computer Science) and Commerce (majoring in Finance), achieving First Class Honours under the supervision of A/Prof. Tongliang Liu.

In 2024, I joined the David James Lab as a research assistant, working on the Tesserome project (formerly ProteHome). During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of biological data and systems, as well as the exciting potential for meaningful dialogue and interaction between AI and biology, where ideas and discoveries from each field can shape and advance the other. Inspired by this experience, I decided to further pursue my research interests as an MPhil student at the David James Lab, under the supervision of Prof. David James and Prof. Jinman Kim. My current research focuses on AI for medical imaging and representation learning of multi-omics data.
